Yeah Nah

About ‘Yeah Nah’

Finalist for ‘Traditional Album of the Year’ Australian Folk Music Awards 2024

A musical roadtrip across old and new Australia, featuring songs about small-town Australia, tunes inspired by the land and subversive interpretations of traditional bush ballads.

Broken Creek moved to Erin’s hometown of Picola in her grandmother's 100-year old farmhouse near the bush to set up a studio to write and record ‘Yeah Nah’.

To complete the Australian folk sound, Broken Creek worked with Peppermint Grove Studio in Sydney. Emily-Rose Sarkova (Chaika) produced ‘Mary Bryant’ and added accordion, backing vocals and percussion sounds. Nick Henderson (The Good Behaviours) played double bass and mandolin.

The record has been warmly received by radio, being played on ABC Saturday Night Country, ABC Roots and Double J ‘Tower of Song’.
